Senior Ai Engineer

 

Description:

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our back office team in Pakistan, supporting our US-based operations. This role is focused on designing and delivering AI-driven solutions that improve business processes, automate workflows, and reduce operational effort across multiple teams.

The ideal candidate can independently understand business problems, architect practical AI solutions, and execute them end-to-end with minimal supervision — someone equally comfortable reasoning about model behavior and writing the software that puts AI into production.

 

Responsibilities

Design and build AI-powered solutions to automate and improve business operations.

Lead development of internal tools, automations, and AI workflows using LLMs and APIs.

Work directly with US teams to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

Develop scalable automation using Python and workflow tools (APIs, scripts, integrations).

Implement and manage LLM-based solutions (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) for business use cases, including retrieval-augmented generation, agents, and structured extraction.

Build integrations between AI tools, databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems.

Design lightweight evaluation methods to measure output quality and iterate based on results rather than intuition.

Monitor deployed solutions for accuracy, reliability, drift, and performance, and improve them over time.

Improve existing systems by identifying inefficiencies and redesigning workflows.

Provide technical guidance to junior resources when required.

Stay updated with emerging AI tools and recommend improvements to existing systems.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

4+ years of experience in software development, automation, or AI-related roles.

Strong proficiency in Python (must-have).

Hands-on experience with APIs, system integrations, and automation frameworks.

Practical experience using LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, etc.).

 

 

Experience building workflow automation or internal business tools.

Strong understanding of data handling, spreadsheets, and basic databases.

Experience taking solutions from prototype to production reliably.

Excellent problem-solving and system-thinking ability.

Strong communication skills to work with US-based teams independently.

 

Nice to Have

Experience with retrieval systems, agentic workflows, or fine-tuning.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure) and containerization (Docker).

Background in monitoring, logging, or lightweight MLOps practices.

Contributions to open-source projects or published work.
