We are seeking a detail-oriented Proposal Engineer (Civil) with strong technical and commercial skills to prepare high-quality bids for international construction projects. The role involves coordinating with multiple departments, analyzing tender documents, and ensuring timely, competitive, and compliant proposals.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications
Prepare technical and commercial proposals for civil construction projects
Conduct cost analysis, material takeoffs, and vendor/subcontractor quotations
Coordinate with estimation, planning, and procurement teams for proposal inputs
Ensure compliance with client requirements, codes, and standards
Draft bid clarifications and respond to RFIs
Support negotiations and assist in finalizing bid submissions
🎯 Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or related field
Experience: Minimum 4–6 years in proposal/tendering roles (Contractor firm experience required; Gulf experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, BOQ analysis, and cost estimation
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimation tools
Excellent English communication and documentation skills
Ability to work on multiple bids under tight deadlines
Preferred Skills:
✔ Experience in bid strategy and pricing
✔ Knowledge of Gulf construction standards and contract formats
✔ Strong analytical and negotiation abilities
