PEB STRUCTURAL / DESIGN ENGINEER

REPORTS TO: Division Head / Technical Director

​ABOUT THE ROLE:
Innovative Engineering C&S (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a Structural/Design Engineer to lead the technical design function for our PEB shed projects. You will be responsible for structural design, calculations, and drawing approvals, working closely with the sales/estimation team and production process to ensure design intent is met from concept through to completion.

​KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

​• Design PEB shed structures (primary and secondary steel framing, roofing/cladding systems) in line with client requirements and applicable building codes and wind/seismic load standards.
​• Prepare and verify structural calculations for frames, purlins, girts, bracing, and foundations.
​• Review and approve shop drawings and erection drawings prepared by the draftsman.
​• Coordinate with estimators to provide accurate steel tonnage and material specifications for costing.
​• Resolve design queries during fabrication and ensure produced components match design intent.
​• Conduct or oversee periodic quality checks on fabricated members against approved drawings.
​• Stay current with relevant local building codes, wind-load standards, and industry best practices for PEB structures.
​• Support the sales team with technical inputs during client discussions and tender submissions.

​REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

​• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred but not mandatory).
​• 5+ years of experience in structural design, with at least 2–3 years specifically in PEB/steel structure design.
​• Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD Pro, Tekla Structures, or dedicated PEB design tools (e.g., MBS, PEB.exe, or equivalent).
​• Strong understanding of steel design codes and wind/seismic load calculations applicable in the region.
​• Experience coordinating design with production/fabrication processes is a plus.

​PREFERRED SKILLS:
​• Familiarity with AutoCAD for drawing review.
​• Ability to produce BOMs (Bill of Materials) and cut lists for costing purposes.
​• Strong communication skills to coordinate across sales, production, and site teams.
