Officer Agri Purchases

Description:

As an Agri-purchases officer, you will identify, research, evaluate and select suppliers that meet the global organisation's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply and provide analytical support services for the global procurement initiatives and projects.

What You Will Do
 

• Efficient procurement of good quality raw material for Ingredion at competitive prices.
• Procurement of corn from grain markets and supervision of agent activities.
• Freight negotiations with agents and contractors.
• Preparation of market intelligence report
• To conduct crop survey of spring and autumn seasons for strategic planning.
• To keep watch on competitors’ activities in grain markets and report to HOD.
• Monitor and verify that daily maize purchase prices used by the commission agents are within authorized limits of the company.
• Check and supervise filling, sewing and weight of purchased maize by commission agents.
• Reconciliation with Warehouse Department at the end of each season.
• To conduct audit of maize buying agents at the end of each season.
   

What You Will Bring
 

• Bachelors or Masters degree
• 1-3 years of professional experience
• Excellent, both written and spoken
