Network Support Engineer

 

Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as an Network Support Engineer. The ideal candidate should have around 2 years of relevant experience and possess a strong understanding of infrastructure administration, network connectivity, system maintenance, and cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS. Additionally, the candidate will play a key role in supporting security-related activities, including ISO 27001 compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

- Understand and address issues related to administering and maintaining IT infrastructure.

- Manage network connectivity, Internet access, email systems, and IP Telephony network.

- Set up and possess knowledge of computer hardware and software, including Windows OS and Linux OS.

- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL servers, Visual Studios, and VMware Technologies.

- Assist in supporting corporate applications, internal servers, and cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.

- Provide support for user desktops, ensuring seamless functionality.

- Perform basic troubleshooting activities for hardware and software issues.

- Contribute to backup and archiving procedures.

- Assist in the installation and improvement of computer software, network equipment, and cloud infrastructure.

- Respond to IT tickets, trouble calls/emails promptly.

- Create and manage network and email accounts for new users.

- Set up computers for new users, ensuring equipment delivery to different locations when necessary.

- Assist with inventory management for software, hardware, and other IT supplies.

- Participate in the procurement process for new IT equipment and supplies.

- Incorporate ISO 27001 principles into daily operations, ensuring compliance with information security standards.

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies and procedures.

- Ensure secure network traffic management using firewalls and VPNs.

 

Required Skill Set:

 

- Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.

- Knowledge of network security practices and principles.

- VMware and Virtualization technologies.

- Backup solutions and practices.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Experience with Microsoft OS and Linux.

- Familiarity with Visual Studios and SQL Servers.

 

Qualifications:

 

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 1-2 years of relevant experience in system and network administration.

- Certifications in VMware, Microsoft, Azure, AWS, or relevant technologies are a plus.
