Requirements:
Lead the deployment, configuration, and optimisation of monitoring tools (e.g., Logic Monitor, Dynatrace).
Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows for routine IT operations.
Ensure real-time visibility into system health, performance, and security.
Drive proactive maintenance and capacity planning initiatives.
Integrate monitoring and automation with incident management and reporting systems.
Oversee alerting, reporting, and escalation processes.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
Lead incident response and troubleshooting for monitoring and automation issues.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of monitoring architectures and automation procedures.
Mentor and guide L2 Support Analysts, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage (both in Infrastructure Monitoring and Application Performance Monitoring areas).
Conduct regular reviews of monitoring data and automation effectiveness.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives for monitoring and automation processes.
Participate in governance, reporting, and service review meetings.
Ensure alignment with SLA requirements, reporting, and compliance.
Support audit and compliance activities for monitoring and automation.
Lead the response to audit findings, ensuring timely remediation.
Stay current with emerging monitoring and automation technologies.
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with third-party tool providers.
Drive the adoption of automation to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
Skills Required:
• Expertise in monitoring tools (LogicMonitor, Dynatrace), coverage modelling, and KPI dashboard creation (both in Infrastructure Monitoring and Application Performance Monitoring areas).
• Skills in alert threshold tuning, event enrichment, and noise reduction.
• Automation proficiency (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for IT operations and incident response.
• Experience in managing monitoring pipelines, upgrades, and rollback procedures.
• Integration of monitoring with ITSM, SIEM, and escalation processes.
• Capacity planning and SLO reporting skills.
• Synthetic monitoring and disaster recovery validation.
• Observability standards for new services and locations.
• Knowledge base management for alert playbooks and tuning.
• Mentoring skills for L2 analysts in monitoring and automation.
