Soch Media: Where global stories meet local truths. Pakistan's only local signatory to the International Fact-Checking Network, we are an independent multimedia news platform seeking to help you make sense of a complex world.

In order to expand our efforts to combat misinformation and propaganda, we are building a new team to focus on long form investigative and explanatory multi-media journalism. If you are interested in practicing independent journalism in the public interest, please apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on long-form, investigative and explanatory stories from concept to publication
• Build and maintain a diverse network of sources
• Analyse complex documents and datasets
• Collaborate with editors, graphic designers and other cross-functional teams

Requirements

• An undergraduate degree required, master’s degree preferred
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in journalism
• Experience working in a highly collaborative and dynamic team environment
• Strong command over written and spoken English and Urdu
• Excellent writing skills with ability to make complex topics accessible
