Description:
The Instruments Engineer - Maintenance is responsible for maintenance activities, project Executation, resources, and staff, drawing on invaluable knowledge to ensure effective and efficient outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
- Operation & Maintenance – Expertise in operation and maintenance of instrumentation systems, including transmitters, analyzers, control valves, PLC/DCS systems, SCADA, sensors, and field instruments. Knowledge of calibration, loop checking, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Project Management – Assist in the design, modification, and commissioning of instrumentation systems. Support capex projects, ensuring timelines and cost control.
- Inventory Management – Evaluate critical spare parts for instrumentation, prepare material requisitions, and follow up with procurement to ensure availability of essential items.
- Contractor Management – Coordinate with contractors for instrumentation-related jobs, evaluate bids, and ensure compliance with technical standards.
- People Management – Guide Instruments Techs, Provide training on best practices and ensure effective team work across the department.
- Compliance of Company Policies – Ensure adherence to company policies, EHS Standards, and ISO Requirements.
- Continuous Improvement – Propose and implement energy conservation and process optimization projects related to instrumentation.
- Stakeholder Management – Collaborate with procurement, production, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations and cost-effective solutions
Mandatory Requirements
Qualified candidates will have:
- Bachelor / Master of Science in Electronics / Industrial Engineering or Electronics / Industrial Technology
- Minimum 02 years of experience in O & M
- Prior work experience in Petro-chemical / Fertilizer/ Process / Food / Cement Industry
- English fluency, both written and spoken
- In-depth knowledge of O & M of Instruments & Automation Systems is advantageous, including maintenance methodologies and reliability management.
- Sound knowledge of ERP system, including SAP, Lean Six Sigma, MS Office, and CMMS to carry out Preventive & Corrective Maintenance.
- Good understanding of international standards of EHS, IMS, GPM, ISO & Food Safety, etc.
Desirable Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of O & M of Instruments and Control Systems is advantageous
- Working knowledge of Maintenance Methodologies, Reliability Management & People Development is desirable
