Infrastructure Engineer

A reputable IT consulting firm is currently seeking a skilled and proactive Infrastructure Engineer to join its Lahore-based office located in DHA Phase 5. This full-time, office-based role is ideal for professionals with 2–3 years of solid hands-on experience managing complex infrastructure environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable systems that support dynamic business operations.

Candidates who are capable of international travel for project deployments and can join immediately (by 26th May 2025) will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage infrastructure operations, including system configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, and routine monitoring.

• Provide support and operational oversight for both cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure environments.

• Work extensively with the IBM Infrastructure Stack, including systems and tools specific to the IBM ecosystem.

• Handle infrastructure provisioning tasks including security configuration, firewall settings, and user permissions.

• Implement and maintain backup solutions, ensuring robust data protection and disaster recovery protocols.

• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to deploy infrastructure for international projects, requiring occasional travel abroad.

• Ensure adherence to best practices in IT operations, change management, and documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field.

• 2–3 years of direct experience in infrastructure management.

• Strong command of IBM Infrastructure Stack is essential.

• Familiarity with both cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and traditional on-premise architecture.

• Knowledge of backup systems, security best practices, provisioning tools, and infrastructure automation.

• Ability and willingness to travel internationally for project-related tasks as required.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to systems reliability and optimization.
