Hardware Support Designer

Description:

Job Responsibilities:

· Symbol development and Schematic drafting

· Convert design files from PDF to OrCAD or other design tools.

· Develop and convert schematic symbols based on electrical and mechanical parameters, considering factors such as component availability, pricing, lifecycle, and manufacturers.

· Replace obsolete or NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs) components with updated alternatives, in consultation with the engineer.

· Identify and resolve netlist errors in schematic designs.

· Assist engineers in the design and verification processes, providing technical support as needed.

· Verify and reduce the Bill of Materials (BOM) for accuracy and cost-efficiency.

· Perform schematic checks, including pinout verification and generate script reports to ensure design integrity.

· Maintain and upgrade the master component library, removing outdated components and adding new ones.

· Create block diagrams and other visual design representations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electronics
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
