Graduate Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our Power Systems Department. In this role, you will work on various projects related to the design of UK networks. The position involves office-based network design, planning, and assessment, giving you a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities within DNO and IDNO operations in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills and grow within the field of electrical engineering, particularly in the power systems sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of electrical distribution projects.

• Perform technical analysis and feasibility studies.

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving power system issues.

• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

• Participate in on-site inspections and data collection when required.

• Continuously improve your technical skills and knowledge through training and development.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with industry standard software like ETAP and Power Factory.

• Experience with load flow and short circuit studies.

• Knowledge of protection coordination and arc flash is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Keen interest in learning and professional growth.

• Passion for contributing to the UK's Net Zero goals.

• Ability to learn and work with various high-level electrical system study software.
