Description:
The Field Application Engineer (FAE) is responsible for providing hands-on technical support to customers during pre-deployment, deployment, and post-deployment phases. The role focuses on field testing, system integration, troubleshooting, and customer training, acting as the technical link between customers and internal engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Deployment & Support
- Perform on-site installation, configuration, and commissioning of systems
- Conduct field trials, PoCs, FAT/SAT, and acceptance testing
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, RF, and network issues
- Support system optimization and performance tuning in field conditions
Application Engineering
- Assist customers with product configuration and application design
- Validate system operation against customer requirements and specifications
- Ensure correct implementation of system architecture and interfaces
- Support firmware/software upgrades and version control
System Integration
- Integrate multiple subsystems including:
- RF & wireless communication systems
- UAV / C-UAS systems
- LTE (telecom services)
- Surveillance sensors (Radar, EO/IR, CCTV)
- IP networking & command-and-control systems
- Verify interoperability with third-party equipment
Customer & Internal Coordination
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact during deployments
- Provide technical training to customers and internal teams
- Document field issues, test results, and corrective actions
- Provide feedback to R&D and product teams for improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecom, or relevant.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of RF, wireless communications, and IP networking
- Experience in field installation, testing, and troubleshooting
- Ability to interpret system diagrams, schematics, and manuals
- Familiarity with test equipment (spectrum analyzer, power meter, network tools)
