Description:
As a Fashion Designer with expertise in tech packs, you will be responsible for translating design concepts into detailed technical documentation that guides the production team. This role requires a balance of creative flair and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every piece aligns with SHAFFER & Co.’s brand identity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive tech packs including detailed specs, construction methods, and technical drawings.
- Collaborate closely with design, merchandising, and production teams to bring concepts to life.
- Ensure all measurements, trims, fabrics, and stitching instructions are clearly defined.
- Research materials, trims, and construction techniques to recommend the best options for production.
- Make revisions to tech packs as needed during the sampling and pre-production stages.
- Stay updated on fashion trends, fabric innovations, and production technology.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in fashion design with a focus on tech packs.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and trims.
- Excellent technical sketching and specification skills.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
