Domain & Hosting Engineer

Description:

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Domain & Hosting Officer to join our IT department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s domain portfolio, hosting environments, email services, and ensuring the smooth functioning of all related systems. You will also support clients and internal teams in technical setups and troubleshoot domain or hosting-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage, organize, and maintain all domain registrations and hosting accounts (shared & dedicated).

* Perform domain pointing, DNS management, and update DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT).

* Configure and manage email services including account creation, troubleshooting, migrations, and spam resolution.

* Implement and monitor email authentication protocols such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.

* Monitor and ensure timely domain renewals and prevent expiration-related service interruptions.

* Plan and carry out domain and hosting migrations while minimizing downtime.

* Troubleshoot and resolve IP blockages, email blacklisting, and deliverability issues.

* Maintain accurate and secure documentation of domains, hosting, credentials, and configuration details.

* Collaborate with hosting providers and domain registrars for technical support and escalations.

* Generate periodic reports on domain statuses, hosting server health, blacklist reports, and incident logs.

* Enforce and follow security best practices for hosting and domain environments.

Requirements:

* Proven experience managing multiple domains and hosting environments.

* Hands-on experience with control panels such as cPanel, Plesk, and WHM.

* Solid understanding of DNS, MX records, and email configurations.

* Familiarity with email security protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).

* Basic server management and troubleshooting skills.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

* Excellent communication skills for client and internal coordination.

* Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and effectively.

* Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
