AlphaTach is expanding its publishing team and is looking for a detail-oriented and creative Mid-Level Formatter to join immediately in Karachi. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing clean, visually appealing, and platform-compliant documents. The ideal candidate will have an excellent command of layout tools and a keen eye for design consistency, precision, and content alignment.

As a Formatter, you will be responsible for transforming manuscripts into professional, reader-friendly formats suited for various publishing platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with editorial and design teams to ensure every document meets both technical standards and aesthetic expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Format manuscripts according to platform-specific publishing standards

• Apply creative and clean layouts to enhance document readability and visual presentation

• Introduce innovative formatting ideas that align with upsell and premium service offerings

• Ensure visual consistency in fonts, headers/footers, margins, spacing, and more

• Utilize MS Word, Adobe InDesign, or LaTeX for creating high-quality formatted documents

• Perform comprehensive quality assurance checks before final publishing

• Collaborate with editors and graphic designers to ensure formatting matches content tone and brand style

Required Skills & Tools:

• Proficiency in MS Word, Adobe InDesign, and/or LaTeX

• Strong sense of typography, spacing, and layout design

• Ability to manage multiple formatting projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

• High attention to detail and a passion for delivering polished, professional work

• Team-oriented with strong communication and collaborative abilities
