Description:
We are seeking a Director of Engineering – Web3 to lead and scale our engineering organization while driving the development of secure, scalable, and innovative blockchain-based solutions.
This role requires a strong blend of technical leadership, architectural expertise, and strategic vision in Web3 and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building high-performing engineering teams, defining technical direction, and ensuring alignment between business goals and engineering execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering Leadership & Strategy
- Lead, manage, and scale engineering teams across Web3 and backend systems
- Define and execute the technical vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap
- Establish engineering best practices, standards, and governance
- Blockchain & Product Development
- Oversee development of blockchain-based solutions, including: Wallets
- Tokenization platforms
- Smart contracts
- Decentralized applications (dApps)
- Ensure system security, scalability, and performance optimization
- Architecture & Systems Design
- Design and review scalable distributed systems architecture
- Ensure alignment with cloud infrastructure and modern engineering practices
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with product, design, and leadership teams to align technical execution with business objectives
- Act as a bridge between engineering and business stakeholders
- Delivery & Execution
- Drive Agile methodologies and ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones
- Monitor team performance, delivery timelines, and technical quality
- Team Development & Culture
- Mentor engineers and engineering managers
- Build a high-performance, ownership-driven engineering culture
- Support hiring and team expansion initiatives
- Innovation & Emerging Technologies
- Stay updated with trends in Web3, Blockchain, AI, and emerging technologies
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across engineering practices
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, including leadership roles
- Proven experience managing and scaling engineering teams
- Strong expertise in Web3 / Blockchain technologies
- Experience designing and implementing scalable distributed systems
- Strong understanding of system architecture and cloud infrastructure
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
