Devops Engineer

Description:

Tapmad is seeking a motivated and tech-savvy DevOps Engineer who will run the infrastructure behind one of Pakistan's largest OTT platforms, including live sports streaming to millions of concurrent viewers.

Responsibilities
- Manage and scale production workloads on AWS (EKS, Elastic Beanstalk, EC2).
- Provision infrastructure as code using Terraform (CloudFormation where it's already in use).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild).
- Own observability: metrics, logs, alerting, and dashboards (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Prepare infra for high-traffic live events through autoscaling, load testing, and CDN/cache tuning.
- Take part in on-call rotation, incident response, and postmortems.
- Enforce security: IAM least-privilege, secrets management, WAF/DDoS protection, and patching.
- Automate operations with Bash and Python.
- Track and optimize cloud and CDN costs.
- Maintain network, runbook, and architecture documentation.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-4 years of Linux administration and production troubleshooting.
- Hands-on AWS experience: VPC and networking, IAM, EC2, RDS, S3, EKS, CloudWatch, Systems Manager.
- Production Kubernetes experience, including Helm, ingress, and autoscaling.
- Docker, plus Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPN.
- Solid scripting in Bash and/or Python.
