Bid Research & Qualification Analyst

Description:

Every strong proposal starts long before anyone writes a word: someone has to spot the right opportunity, read it properly, and make an honest call on whether Nakisa can win it. That is the work we are hiring for.

As our Bid Research & Qualification Analyst, you run the front end of the bid engine. You find the opportunities, keep our portal registrations and documentation in order, and screen each one against clear qualification criteria. What you pass forward, our Canada-based proposal leads turn into a winning response. What you filter out saves the team from bids we were never going to win.

This is a specialism, not overflow work. You make sure Nakisa sees every opportunity worth seeing and that our response capacity goes where it counts.

What you'll be doing

  • Monitor procurement directories, government and public-sector portals, opportunity feeds, and the shared RFP mailbox to identify new RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and tenders relevant to Nakisa.
  • Maintain portal registrations, logins, and vendor profiles, and organize each opportunity to package the solicitation documents, addenda, Q&A, and deadlines in the shared SharePoint workspace.
  • Apply Nakisa's documented go/no-go criteria—product fit, industry, geography, scope, budget, timeline, and strategic alignment—to each opportunity, using approved AI tools (Claude/Copilot) with standardized prompts to review solicitation documents quickly and consistently.
  • Produce a short, structured qualification summary for each promising opportunity: what it is, key requirements, fit assessment, risks, deadlines, and a bid / no-bid / needs-review recommendation.
  • Rank qualified opportunities and record the rationale for those screened out so decisions stay traceable, and the criteria can be refined.
  • Hand off qualified opportunities to the RFP lead with a complete, well-organized package and summary for second-pass review.
  • Maintain a shared, up-to-date pipeline of live opportunities and submission deadlines on a daily and weekly cadence, flagging time-sensitive items early.
  • Help maintain the reusable screening assets—qualification criteria, keyword lists, AI prompts, exclusion rules, and a library of past opportunities and decisions—and suggest improvements as Nakisa learns.
  • Provide occasional RFP drafting support (standard sections, supporting content, and formatting) under the direction of the RFP lead.

What you bring

  • Approximately 2–4 years' experience in bid or proposal coordination, presales or sales support, market and opportunity research, business analysis, or public-sector procurement support, ideally in B2B enterprise software / SaaS or an IT services environment.
  • Enough business maturity and curiosity to ramp quickly on Nakisa's vocabulary, solutions, and focus areas, and to apply that understanding to qualification judgments within the first weeks.
  • Excellent business-level written English, with the analytical and critical-reading skills to extract key requirements from dense solicitation documents, judge fit against defined criteria, and write clear, concise summaries and recommendations.
  • Comfort working with high volume and tight deadlines, with strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on use of Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar in real work, and willing to make AI a core part of daily practice.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 / SharePoint for document management and collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree (business, communications, engineering, IT, or related) or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Public-sector or government procurement experience, North American, UK, EU, or Gulf tenders—including tender portals and registration processes.
  • Exposure to enterprise software domains relevant to Nakisa: lease accounting, IWMS and real estate, workforce and organizational planning, or ERP-adjacent solutions.
  • APMP certification or equivalent proposal management credential.
  • Experience building AI prompts, small automations, or reusable templates—qualification scorecards, competitive scans, and structured summaries to streamline repetitive research work.
