Description:
As a 2D Animator at DEWENITY | Interversal, you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual storytelling and social media presence of our clients. You will work closely with our content creators, social media managers, and video editing team to design, illustrate, and animate high-quality 2D motion graphics and animated content using Adobe After Effects (essential, for animation and compositing) and Photoshop/Illustrator/Toon Boom (essential, for design and asset creation). A working knowledge of Blender or similar 3D software will help you understand, integrate, and collaborate on 3D assets within 2D projects. Your contributions will be vital to delivering seamless and engaging social media experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce 2D animations, motion graphics, and animated explainer content for various social media platforms using After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Collaborate with social media managers, content creators, and video editors to understand project requirements and platform-specific animation trends.
- Create 2D character animations, animated brand logos, and dynamic motion graphics, ensuring polished final composites in After Effects.
- Understand and integrate 3D assets (created in Blender) into 2D compositions where required, coordinating with 3D artists on the team.
- Develop storyboards, style frames, and animatics before full production.
- Ensure smooth motion, stylized rendering, logical sequencing, and alignment with each brand's unique voice and guidelines.
- Keep up-to-date with current social media algorithms, 2D/3D animation trends, and video formats to optimize content performance.
- Manage and organize After Effects project files, 2D assets, and digital libraries systematically.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of proven experience as a 2D Animator, preferably within a social media agency or handling brand content.
- Strong, hands-on proficiency and complete grip on Adobe After Effects and Photoshop/Illustrator/Toon Boom (essential) — this is a mandatory requirement, not optional.
- Working knowledge of Blender or similar 3D software (basic modeling/rendering understanding preferred, not required to produce 3D work independently).
- Solid 2D animation fundamentals (timing, spacing, easing, squash & stretch, character rigging).
- A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating your 2D animation work, creativity, and understanding of social media hooks/pacing.
- Good understanding of visual storytelling, color theory, lighting, and composition for social media.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality visual content.
