Short answer: call center jobs in Pakistan are among the easiest jobs to get for students and fresh graduates. Local campaigns usually pay about Rs 40,000 to Rs 70,000 a month. International campaigns for US, UK and Australian clients pay about Rs 60,000 to Rs 120,000 with commission, mostly on night shifts. The key skill is clear spoken English, or Urdu for local campaigns.

"Call center jobs Lahore", "call center jobs Karachi" and "call center jobs near me" together reach thousands of people on GetPakJob every few months. Most of the openings are in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad. If you're thinking about applying, this guide covers what the job is really like.

Key takeaways

  • Two kinds of campaigns: local (Urdu, day shifts, lower pay) and international (English, night shifts, higher pay plus commission).
  • Many adverts say "freshers welcome". A good interview matters more than your degree.
  • Your fixed salary should not be below your province's minimum wage, for example Rs 40,000 in Punjab and Rs 43,000 in Sindh.
  • Ask about pick and drop, night allowance, commission rules and EOBI before you accept.
  • Never pay for "training" or "registration" to get a call center job.

What call center jobs are there?

  • Outbound sales (telesales): you call customers abroad to sell solar panels, insurance, home services, debt relief or truck dispatch services. Commission is a big part of the pay.
  • Inbound customer support: you answer calls for telecoms, banks, e-commerce companies or foreign clients. Pay is steadier, with less commission.
  • Chat and email support: written support in English, often for US software companies. "Chat support jobs in Lahore" is a common search.
  • Appointment setting and lead generation: booking meetings for foreign businesses, often paid per appointment on top of a base salary.
  • Team lead and quality analyst roles: for agents with a year or two of experience and good numbers.

What do call center jobs pay in 2026?

Role Typical monthly pay (Rs) Extras
Local campaign agent (Urdu) 40,000–70,000 Attendance bonus, sometimes transport
International agent, fresher 45,000–80,000 + commission Pick and drop, night allowance
International agent, experienced 70,000–150,000 + commission Higher commission slabs
Chat / email support 50,000–100,000 Often fixed hours, less pressure
Team lead / QA 100,000–200,000+ Team bonus

Typical ranges from 2026 job adverts on GetPakJob and other boards, not official rates.

One warning: many adverts show a fixed salary of Rs 30,000 to Rs 45,000 "plus uncapped commission". For 2026-27, the federal government announced a minimum wage of Rs 40,700, and provinces notify their own rates: Punjab's notified rate was Rs 40,000 in October 2026, Sindh announced Rs 43,000 and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rs 45,000. Your fixed pay, before commission, should not be less than your province's rate. Our minimum wage guide explains the details.

Night shifts: what to expect

International campaigns follow the client's time zone. For US clients, a typical shift runs from about 6 or 7 pm to 3 or 4 am, Monday to Friday, with weekends off. UK campaigns start earlier in the afternoon. Night work pays better, but think about:

  • Transport: a good employer offers pick and drop after a night shift, especially for women. Ask about it at interview.
  • Health: sleeping in the day is hard at first. Keep a fixed sleep time and avoid energy drinks late in the shift.
  • Studies: many students do night shifts alongside university. It works if your classes are in the afternoon, but it gets hard around exams.

How commission really works

Commission can double your pay or add nothing, so read the rules carefully. Ask:

  • What counts as a sale or qualified lead, and who checks it?
  • Is commission paid monthly with the salary, or only after the client pays?
  • Is there a target you must hit before any commission starts?
  • Is the dollar rate fixed, or does commission change with the exchange rate?

Ask for these rules in writing. A trustworthy company will show you its commission sheet.

How to get hired, even as a fresher

  1. Practise speaking. The interview is mostly a conversation and a mock call. Talk about yourself for two minutes in English without stopping, and record yourself to check your pace.
  2. Learn the basics of the product. If the advert says "US solar campaign" or "truck dispatch", read about it for ten minutes before the interview.
  3. Keep your CV to one page, with your communication skills, any customer-facing work and your availability for night shifts. Our CV format guide shows the layout employers expect.
  4. Apply to several companies at once. Call centers hire in batches and often call within a day or two.
  5. Bring your CNIC and documents to the walk-in interview; some companies hire on the spot.

Red flags to avoid

  • Paying for training or registration. Genuine call centers train you for free.
  • No written offer letter. You need your salary, commission rules, shift timing and notice period in writing.
  • Salary held for months as "security". Some companies hold the first month's pay; more than that is a bad sign.
  • No company address or a WhatsApp-only advert. Visit the office before you agree to anything.

Ask whether you'll be registered with EOBI and your provincial social security institution. These give you a pension and medical benefits later.

What a shift really looks like

On a US sales campaign, your shift usually starts with a short team briefing: yesterday's numbers, today's target and any changes to the script. Then you're on the phones. Many campaigns use an auto-dialler, so calls come one after another. Expect a lot of "no thank you" and some rude callers; that's normal, and it gets easier after the first week.

Most centers give a 30 to 45 minute break in the middle of the shift, often with dinner provided. Quality analysts listen to recorded calls and give feedback, and your team lead shares a daily or weekly leaderboard. Good agents treat this feedback as free coaching: the agents who listen to their own recordings improve fastest.

Support and chat campaigns are calmer. You solve customers' problems with accounts, orders or software, and you're judged on resolution time and customer ratings rather than sales.

Growing from agent to team lead

A call center job can be a stepping stone or a career. After six months to a year, strong agents move into:

  • Senior agent or closer: handling the hardest calls, with higher commission.
  • Quality analyst: listening to calls and coaching agents.
  • Trainer: running new-hire training batches.
  • Team lead and operations manager: managing a team, targets and the client relationship.

Others use the English, sales and customer skills they've built to move into sales, HR, marketing, medical billing or account management. Keep a record of your monthly numbers, awards and feedback: they make strong lines on your CV later.

Frequently asked questions

What is the salary of a call center job in Pakistan?
Local campaign agents usually earn about Rs 40,000 to Rs 70,000 a month. International campaign agents earn about Rs 60,000 to Rs 120,000 including commission, and experienced agents more.
Can freshers get call center jobs in Pakistan?
Yes. Many call centers hire students and fresh graduates and train them. Clear spoken English, or Urdu for local campaigns, and a good interview matter more than your degree.
What are the timings of call center jobs?
International campaigns for US clients usually run from about 6 or 7 pm to 3 or 4 am, Monday to Friday. Local campaigns are mostly day shifts.
Can a call center pay less than the minimum wage?
Your fixed salary should not be below your province's notified minimum wage, for example Rs 40,000 in Punjab and Rs 43,000 in Sindh for 2026-27. Commission should come on top of that.

No. Genuine call centers train new agents for free. A request for a training or registration fee is a common sign of a scam.
