Description:

Imtiaz, a leading retail chain, is currently seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Officer / Officer – HR Operations to join its team in Bahria Town, Karachi. This is a fantastic opportunity for HR professionals who are passionate about maintaining strong operational standards and contributing to employee engagement and organizational excellence.

As a key member of the HR department, you will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of HR functions related to data management, compliance, payroll, and employee services. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day HR operations to ensure smooth internal processes and alignment with the company’s policies and labor laws.

This role requires an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses a solid understanding of HR operations and best practices. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in similar HR roles and be well-versed in managing both systems and people with professionalism and care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and regularly update employee information in the HRIS (Human Resource Information System) with strict attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and security.

  • Generate comprehensive HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and workforce planning.

  • Monitor and manage employee attendance, leave records, and time-off requests, ensuring system accuracy and timely reporting.

  • Coordinate monthly payroll inputs, including timekeeping data, salary deductions, bonuses, and necessary adjustments.

  • Ensure personnel files are maintained and compliant with labor laws, company policies, and internal audits.

  • Support statutory compliance processes including Provident Fund (P.F) and SESSI contributions and filings.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.

  • Assist in onboarding new employees by facilitating orientation sessions, preparing documentation, and ensuring a seamless induction process.

  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and ensure consistent application across departments.

  • Manage offboarding procedures, including conducting exit interviews, completing documentation, and coordinating final settlements.

  • Promote and ensure compliance with the company’s code of conduct, values, and HR standards across all teams.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (MBA in HR preferred).

  • Minimum 2 years of practical experience in HR operations or HR generalist roles.

  • Strong knowledge of core HR functions, local labor laws, payroll processing, and HR compliance.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
