Imtiaz, a leading retail chain, is currently seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Officer / Officer – HR Operations to join its team in Bahria Town, Karachi. This is a fantastic opportunity for HR professionals who are passionate about maintaining strong operational standards and contributing to employee engagement and organizational excellence.
As a key member of the HR department, you will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of HR functions related to data management, compliance, payroll, and employee services. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day HR operations to ensure smooth internal processes and alignment with the company’s policies and labor laws.
This role requires an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses a solid understanding of HR operations and best practices. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in similar HR roles and be well-versed in managing both systems and people with professionalism and care.
Maintain and regularly update employee information in the HRIS (Human Resource Information System) with strict attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and security.
Generate comprehensive HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and workforce planning.
Monitor and manage employee attendance, leave records, and time-off requests, ensuring system accuracy and timely reporting.
Coordinate monthly payroll inputs, including timekeeping data, salary deductions, bonuses, and necessary adjustments.
Ensure personnel files are maintained and compliant with labor laws, company policies, and internal audits.
Support statutory compliance processes including Provident Fund (P.F) and SESSI contributions and filings.
Respond promptly and professionally to employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
Assist in onboarding new employees by facilitating orientation sessions, preparing documentation, and ensuring a seamless induction process.
Contribute to the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and ensure consistent application across departments.
Manage offboarding procedures, including conducting exit interviews, completing documentation, and coordinating final settlements.
Promote and ensure compliance with the company’s code of conduct, values, and HR standards across all teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (MBA in HR preferred).
Minimum 2 years of practical experience in HR operations or HR generalist roles.
Strong knowledge of core HR functions, local labor laws, payroll processing, and HR compliance.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
