Benefits Analyst

 

Description:

As a Benefits Analyst at Banyan Canopy Group, you will support the delivery and administration of global benefits programs across our headquarters and growing portfolio of operating companies. Working closely with the Benefits Manager, you will help ensure accurate, timely operations while coordinating with vendors, PEOs, payroll, and HR teams across multiple regions. This role offers firsthand exposure to a complex, multi-country environment, where you will contribute to improving processes, maintaining data integrity, supporting compliance, and assisting with M&A onboarding. Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the administration of global benefits programs across Banyan Canopy Group, Banyan’s headquarters, and operating companies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee enrollments, life changes, and terminations across multiple systems.
  • Partner closely with payroll teams to ensure accurate benefits deductions, reconciliations, and alignment across systems.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, brokers, and PEO partners to ensure smooth delivery of benefits programs and timely issue resolution.
  • Function as a point of contact for employee benefits-related queries, providing clear, timely, and professional support.
  • Maintain important levels of data accuracy and integrity across HRIS and benefits platforms, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively.
  • Support reporting and analysis of benefits data, including participation, costs, and trends, to enable informed decision-making.
  • Assist with compliance requirements across multiple regions, including documentation, audits, filings, and tracking deadlines.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and internal stakeholders to support benefits delivery across operating companies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, documentation, and workflow optimization in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Support onboarding and integration of newly acquired companies, including data gathering, vendor coordination, and employee transition into Banyan’s benefits programs.
  • Contribute to building structure, consistency, and scalability across global benefits operations.

Qualifications for Success:

The ideal candidate for the role will possess the following characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–6 years of experience in benefits administration, HR operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end benefits processes, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and issue resolution.
  • Experience supporting global or multi-country benefits programs or working across different regions and time zones.
  • High diligence with a proven record of maintaining data accuracy and quality.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and benefits platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data, identify discrepancies, and support reporting.
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams, including HR, payroll, and external vendors.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors, brokers, or PEO partners is an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate complex, demanding environments.
  • Experience partnering with payroll teams, particularly on benefits deductions and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational skills with a prominent level of ownership and accountability.
