### Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress plugins

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

- Debug existing plugins and optimize their performance

- Collaborate with the design team to implement user interfaces

- Ensure compatibility with WordPress core updates

- Document code and maintain technical specifications

- Provide technical support for existing plugins

- Stay current with WordPress best practices and security standards

 

### Required Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in WordPress plugin development

- Strong proficiency in PHP 7+

- Extensive knowledge of WordPress core, including:

- Action and Filter Hooks System

- WordPress Plugin API

- WordPress Database API (wpdb)

- Settings API

- Options API

- Transients API

- REST API

- Meta APIs (Post Meta, User Meta, Term Meta)

- WP_Query and Custom Queries

- WordPress Security Best Practices

- Plugin Lifecycle Hooks (activation, deactivation, uninstall)

- WordPress Coding Standards

- Custom Post Types and Taxonomies

- WordPress Authentication and Authorization

- WordPress Multisite Architecture

- Theme Integration and Template Hierarchy

- Performance Optimization Techniques

- Internationalization and Localization

- Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
