Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled WordPress Developer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development, security, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our multiple websites, ensuring their performance, optimization, uptime, and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and manage company websites using WordPress (custom themes & plugins).
- Ensure website security (firewall setup, malware scanning, SSL, backups, etc.).
- Monitor performance and conduct regular speed optimization (Core Web Vitals).
- Maintain website uptime and manage hosting, DNS, and backups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and downtime incidents.
- Collaborate with marketing/design teams for new landing pages or campaign-specific pages.
- Optimize websites for SEO and mobile responsiveness.
- Maintain documentation for all updates and system changes.
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress updates, best practices, and plugin/theme versions.
- Handle integrations (payment gateways, CRMs, APIs, forms, etc.).
- Ensure GDPR/Privacy Policy compliance across all web properties.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in WordPress (custom theme and plugin development).
- Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Experience with website security tools and practices (e.g. Wordfence, Sucuri).
- Experience with popular page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg).
- Understanding of website performance tools (Google PageSpeed, GTMetrix).
- Familiarity with cPanel, WHM, and hosting environments.
- Basic understanding of on-page SEO and schema markup.
- Experience with WooCommerce (a plus).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in WordPress development.
- Portfolio of live WordPress projects is a must.
