Moonshot Digital is looking for a WordPress Developer to join their team in Islamabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites and applications for a variety of clients. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be involved in both front-end and back-end development, as well as eCommerce, plugin development, and API integrations. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth of eCommerce verticals and work on a diverse range of projects in industries such as pharmaceuticals, herbal supplements, skincare, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform development decisions

• Develop WordPress websites, ensuring adherence to project specifications and coding standards

• Customize WordPress themes and implement front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Develop and customize eCommerce solutions using WooCommerce

• Develop and integrate custom plugins to extend WordPress functionalities

• Integrate third-party APIs, including payment gateways and CRM systems

• Ensure mobile responsiveness and optimize websites across devices

• Manage and optimize WordPress databases

• Conduct testing and ensure quality assurance across browsers and devices

• Perform regular website maintenance and troubleshoot issues

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience in WordPress website development, particularly in industries like eCommerce, pharmaceuticals, and skincare

• 1+ years of experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

• Familiarity with content marketing strategies and cross-functional team operations

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in WordPress website development

• Strong PHP programming skills for theme and plugin development

• Experience with WooCommerce and eCommerce customization

• Front-end development skills (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)

• Database management using MySQL

• Knowledge of performance optimization and cybersecurity best practices

• Familiarity with Git for version control

• Strong testing, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities

• Analytical skills for reporting and interpreting performance data

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments

• Knowledge of advanced PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony)

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular)

• Ability to develop Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) within WordPress
