Description:
The videographer will be responsible for planning, filming, and delivering high-quality documentary-style footage highlighting the program’s impact in selected government schools. This includes interviews, classroom interactions, and contextual shots of the school communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Film documentary-style footage in government schools across Lahore
- Capture on-site interviews with teachers, students, and program staff
- Record classroom activities and candid interactions respectfully and discreetly
- Develop visual storytelling concepts aligned with the project’s goals and intended audiences
- Operate cameras, audio equipment, and lighting independently in active classroom settings
- Ensure proper consent, safeguarding, and privacy protocols when filming minors
- Coordinate filming schedules with the program team and school administrations
- Edit short-form video clips for internal and external communications (if included in scope)
- Produce a longer documentary cut intended for screenings, presentations, and stakeholder showings
- Deliver all raw footage and final edits in clearly organized folders, including basic metadata and shot logs
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in documentary filmmaking or social-sector videography or strong demonstrated skills through academic, independent, or student projects (Students currently studying film, media, communications, or related fields with strong documentary skills are eligible to apply)
- Strong portfolio highlighting documentary, educational, or observational video work
- Must have own professional camera equipment
- Ability to shoot in live, unpredictable classroom environments
- Experience filming in low-resourced or public institutions preferred
- Ability to manage sound and lighting with minimal disruption to classes
- Excellent communication skills in Urdu; Punjabi preferred but optional
- Professional conduct and sensitivity when working with children and school teams
