As a Video Editor at SpotlightGB, you’ll be responsible for turning raw footage, stock videos, AI-generated clips, and voiceovers into powerful and engaging video content.
Your work will be used across multiple brands, platforms, and campaigns — including paid ads, brand videos, product launches, and social media reels.
You should have a sharp eye for storytelling, strong command over motion design, and the ability to make even short clips feel cinematic and emotionally engaging.
Key Responsibilities🎬 Editing & Production
- Edit high-quality social media videos, reels, ads, and promotional videos for SpotlightGB and its clients.
- Transform scripts, voiceovers, and storyboards into engaging visual stories.
- Cut, trim, and sequence clips to create smooth narrative flow.
- Add text animations, transitions, motion graphics, and sound effects to enhance impact.
- Edit AI-generated content (e.g., from Sora, Midjourney, Runway, or Pika Labs) into professional-grade marketing videos.
Creative Direction
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to understand project goals and brand tone.
- Contribute creative ideas for storytelling, visuals, pacing, and hooks for viral content.
- Stay updated on trending video formats and viral editing styles used on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
Content Repurposing
- Re-edit long-form content into short, platform-optimised formats.
- Optimise videos for different aspect ratios (16:9, 1:1, 9:16).
- Ensure visual consistency and brand alignment across all deliverables.
Post-Production & Quality
- Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines while maintaining top quality.
- Colour-correct, enhance lighting, and stabilise footage when needed.
- Sync audio, music, and dialogue with precision.
- Ensure final outputs are optimised for web, mobile, and paid ad use.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Video Editor (agency or freelance background preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Familiarity with AI video tools (e.g., Runway, Pika Labs, Sora, ElevenLabs for voiceovers).
- Understanding of storytelling principles, pacing, and audience engagement.
- Strong sense of rhythm, timing, and music syncing.
- Knowledge of sound design, basic animation, and typography.
- Experience editing UGC, TikTok-style, and short-form promotional content.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
