We’re seeking a results-driven and strategic Business Development Manager who excels in Upwork bidding and client acquisition within the IT industry. You’ll play a key role in identifying promising opportunities, writing compelling proposals, and building long-term client relationships.
This is an onsite role designed for professionals who thrive in a performance-oriented yet supportive environment where growth, learning, and results go hand-in-hand.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and bid on relevant Upwork projects that match our expertise in:
- Web development (Angular, React, MEAN/MERN stacks)
- Mobile app development (Flutter)
- CRM/ERP and AI-powered automation solutions
- Craft high-converting, customized proposals highlighting measurable outcomes (conversion boosts, ROI, efficiency gains, etc.)
- Follow strict project selection criteria to optimize Connect usage and focus on high-value leads
- Proactively follow up with potential clients and schedule discovery calls
- Track all bids, responses, and call results systematically
- Collaborate with technical and marketing teams to ensure project alignment and delivery excellence
- Suggest process improvements and contribute to the continuous refinement of our bidding strategy
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience in Upwork bidding or business development (IT/Software domain preferred)
- Strong understanding of web & mobile app development (Angular/React, MEAN/MERN, Flutter) and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Highly organized, self-driven, and target-oriented
- Must be available for onsite work in Faisalabad or Lahore
- Flexibility and commitment to achieving results in a fast-paced environment
