Responsibilities:
- Developing, maintaining, and managing Unreal Engine-based products, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of production systems.
- Build, release, and configuration management of production systems.
- System troubleshooting and problem-solving across platform and application domains. Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements.
- Design innovative solutions to unique opportunities in immersive audio
Requirements
- 3 to 4+ years of experience in programming languages including C#, C++ within Unity and/or Unreal
- Prototype and iterate on features utilizing the latest APIs, SDKs, or other tools with Unreal to enhance the quality of production
- Design and expose C++ functions to Blueprints for prototyping.
- Design and develop core tools into the pipeline.
- Work with virtual production and virtual reality team to understand technical requirements.
- Experience developing in a large codebase; designing and implementing a tool from the ground up as well as adapting existing tools in the field.
- Work with Back-end team to implement networking interface within Unreal Engine to handle communication with servers.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented programming and be able to design and implement modular and scalable systems. Desired Skills:
- Avid gamer and VR/AR enthusiast is a must!
- Application of experience and knowledge to optimize game engine deployment for virtual reality in terms of memory, frame rate, and performance.
- Creative, focused, results-oriented, self-motivated, resourceful problem-solver with excellent debugging and strong communications skills.
- Expert knowledge of Unity3D and/or Unreal including GUI, asset bundles, and materials/shaders
