Description:
The Technical Sales Specialist will be responsible for promoting and selling life sciences and medical laboratory equipment by providing technical expertise, product demonstrations, and application support. The role requires close interaction with customers, understanding their technical needs, and delivering customized solutions while achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell laboratory, diagnostic, and life sciences equipment to hospitals, universities, research institutes, and industrial labs
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions with end users
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support in coordination with the Service and Application teams
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, key opinion leaders, and decision-makers
- Prepare quotations, tenders, and technical documentation
- Identify new business opportunities and monitor market trends and competitor activities
- Participate in exhibitions, workshops, and customer training sessions
- Achieve assigned sales targets and maintain accurate sales records and reports
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, application support, or laboratory work (fresh graduates with strong technical skills may apply)
- Strong understanding of laboratory instruments, reagents, and workflows
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel for fieldwork
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PCR, molecular diagnostics, analytical instruments, or automation systems
- Familiarity with public and private sector tendering processes
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
