Technical Manager

 

Description:

We are looking for a highly capable Technical Manager to lead engineering teams, oversee project delivery from pre-sales to post development support, and ensure technical excellence across multiple client engagements. This role combines people management, technical leadership, and delivery oversight. The ideal candidate is someone who can guide teams, collaborate with clients, solve complex technical problems, and drive successful project outcomes. You will get a chance to work directly with the leadership.

 

Core ResponsibilitiesTeam & Line Management

  • Manage and mentor a team of software engineers across multiple skill levels.
  • Oversee team performance, career development, training, and skill enhancement.
  • Ensure strong collaboration between different teams and work in a cross function to take engineering initiatives forward.

  • Technical Leadership
    • Provide architectural direction and ensure adherence to best practices.
    • Review technical designs and guide teams on scalable solution design.
    • Ensure alignment with modern engineering practices (Agentic AI, Automation, cloud, DevOps, security compliances).
    Delivery & Project Oversight
    • Oversee delivery execution across Fixed Price, Time & Material, and Dedicated Team engagements.
    • Ensure projects meet defined scope, timelines, budget, and quality benchmarks.
    • Drive sprint planning, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
    • Support Team leads with technical inputs and decision making.

  • Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Act as a senior technical point of contact for clients during delivery.
    • Engage in requirement discussions, technical clarifications, and solution presentations.
    • Build trust and maintain strong client relationships through transparency and consistent delivery.
    • Handle escalations and guide teams toward resolution.

  • Pre-Sales & Consulting Support
    • Participate in technical discovery sessions, scope discussions, and proposal development.
    • Assist sales teams with estimations, technical solutioning, and pitching.
    • Recommend technologies and architectures suitable for client needs and project goals.

  • Process, Quality & Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor engineering KPIs (velocity, defects, delivery accuracy, code quality).
    • Ensure adherence to organizational processes, engineering checklists, and QA standards.
    • Implement continuous improvement across delivery, documentation, and development workflows.
    • Promote a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and excellence.

Qualifications & SkillsRequired

  • Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience in software development particularly in open source and JS frameworks.
  • 3+ years in a leadership/managerial role.
  • Strong technical background in modern web/mobile technologies, APIs, cloud, and databases.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams in an agile environment.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • PMP Certification or PM Specialization is a Plus.
