Technical Consultant

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Technical Consultant who has completed multiple end-to-end implementations and is strong in development, integrations, and technical solution design. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in X++, reporting, DevOps, and troubleshooting, along with the ability to create technical documentation and follow best development practices.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in end-to-end implementation projects for D365 F&O, including requirement analysis, technical design, development, testing, and deployment.

Develop high-quality customizations using X++, extensions, and best practice frameworks.

Build and manage integrations using custom services, OData, DMF, and other integration patterns.

Work with Azure DevOps for code management, pipelines, builds, and releases.

Develop and maintain SSRS reports, electronic reporting, and data entities.

Implement and manage User Security, roles, duties, privileges, and licensing impact.

Prepare Technical Design Documents (TDDs), architecture diagrams, and solution documentation.

Perform unit testing, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support across modules.

Collaborate with functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of requirements.

Any AI/Agentic tooling experience (Copilot, AI integrations, automation scripts) is a plus.

Required Skills & Experience

4–6 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (or AX 2012 + D365 combined).

Strong expertise in X++ development, extensions, event handlers, and code optimization.

Experience in Azure DevOps, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong understanding of integration frameworks (OData, DMF, custom APIs, Business Events).

Experience in SSRS reporting, Power BI integration is a plus.

Good understanding of security roles, privileges, duties, and D365 licensing impacts.

Able to write clear TDDs, architecture documents, and technical solution designs.

Solid skills in unit testing, debugging, and technical troubleshooting.

Experience with AI tools or agentic workflows is an advantage.
