Career Corner is hiring a SysOps Engineer – Azure & On-Prem for a reputable organization providing cutting-edge financial and educational technology solutions. The company is on a mission to empower individuals with digital tools that support education and ensure financial stability. This position requires hands-on expertise in managing hybrid infrastructure, combining Microsoft Azure cloud services with traditional on-premises environments.

As a SysOps Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining system availability, optimizing infrastructure performance, enhancing security posture, and automating operational tasks across the hybrid IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor Microsoft Azure infrastructure including VMs, VNets, Load Balancers, Azure AD, and storage

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform

• Administer Azure Backup, Site Recovery, and cost management tools

• Support and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices

• Configure and manage Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and policy compliance

• Maintain and support Windows and/or Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies

• Administer virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware

• Manage on-prem backup solutions, apply patches, and conduct routine maintenance

• Troubleshoot hardware, storage, and networking issues in hybrid environments

• Automate repetitive system tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python

• Set up monitoring and alerting via Azure Monitor, SCOM, or third-party tools

• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution

• Handle incident responses, perform root cause analysis, and maintain operational documentation

• Collaborate with development, security, and support teams to ensure seamless deployment and secure infrastructure

Professional Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline

• At least 6 years of professional experience in relevant domains such as system administration and hybrid/cloud infrastructure

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services and on-prem Windows infrastructure

• Expertise with Azure CLI, Azure Portal, and Azure Active Directory

• Strong scripting abilities in PowerShell (required), with knowledge of Bash or Python as a plus

• Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.), VPNs, and firewalls

• Competence in configuring monitoring, backup, and alerting solutions
