Student Counselor / Processing Officer

 

Description:

Study Ways Consultants is seeking a dynamic and passionate Student Counselor/Processing Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in guiding students through the admission process, from selecting the right universities to ensuring timely submission of all required documents for admission and visa processing. You will be responsible for advising students and assist them with applications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Counseling: Provide one-on-one counseling to students and their families, offering detailed information on studying abroad. Help them identify suitable study destinations based on their academic interests, career goals, and budget.
  • Sales and Marketing: Drive sales through effective consultation, promotion of Study Ways Consultants services, and conversion of leads into successful applications.
  • Application Assistance: Assist students in completing their applications, including personal statements, reference letters, and financial documentation.
  • Visa Guidance: Provide comprehensive guidance on visa applications and processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is correctly completed and submitted.
  • Liaison with Institutions: Maintain strong relationships with partner institutions, staying updated on their admission requirements, courses, and deadlines.
  • Workshops and Seminars: Organize and conduct informative sessions, workshops, and seminars to educate potential students about studying abroad.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about global education trends, visa regulations, and destination-specific information to provide accurate and current advice.
  • Customer Service: Offer ongoing support to students, addressing their queries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Networking: Build and maintain relationships with high schools, universities, and other relevant stakeholders to promote Study Ways Consultants services.
  • Documentation: Ensure all student records are accurately maintained and updated in the company’s database.
  • Database Management: Maintain an up-to-date database of student applications, documents, and correspondence. Track the progress of each student's application and visa process, ensuring no deadlines are missed.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree in any closely related field.

Professional Experience: 2 years of relevant experience in student consultation, admission, or a similar role.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of additional languages will be considered an asset.

Organisational Abilities: Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple student applications and tasks simultaneously.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when reviewing and processing application documents.

Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and interact effectively with students, parents, and university representatives.

Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, offering timely and practical solutions.

Technical Proficiency: Confident in using office productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and experienced in working with databases or CRM systems.
