Sr Scrum Master

 

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Scrum Master to lead multiple agile development teams in delivering high-quality software releases for complex, technical products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of technical product specifications and actively leverage AI tools to enhance team productivity, enabling them to facilitate collaboration between developers, product marketing teams, and stakeholders.

 

This role involves orchestrating aggressive yet achievable development plans, monitoring daily progress, proactively identifying potential delays, and proposing actionable solutions to ensure timely, quality-driven releases. The Technical Scrum Master will thrive in a fast-paced environment, bridging technical and business needs to drive successful outcomes across our product portfolio.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Facilitate Agile Processes: Lead and manage Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives) across multiple cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and alignment.

• Understand Technical Specifications: Interpret and analyze highly technical product specifications to guide discussions, clarify requirements, and ensure alignment between technical teams and business objectives.

• Drive Development Plans: Collaborate with product owners, developers, and marketing teams to create aggressive yet realistic development schedules, defining clear sprint goals, milestones, and deliverables.

• Daily Progress Monitoring: Track team progress and issues daily using tools like Jira, identifying bottlenecks, risks, or blockers that could impact delivery timelines.

· Ensure teams deliver maximum value each sprint through effective backlog refinement

• Foresee and Mitigate Delays: Proactively anticipate potential delays by analyzing team velocity, technical challenges, and external dependencies. Propose adjustments (e.g., scope refinement, resource reallocation, or process improvements) to recover schedules without compromising quality.

• Ensure Quality Releases: Advocate for best practices in testing, code reviews, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) to maintain high-quality standards. Work with QA teams to ensure robust testing aligns with release goals.

• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between technical teams and product marketing, translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.

• Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leading retrospectives, gathering feedback, and implementing process optimizations to enhance team efficiency and product quality.

• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, escalating issues to leadership when necessary and providing data-driven recommendations.

• Train team members on effective AI tool usage to enhance their productivity and workflows

 

 

Required Qualification

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach

• At least 2 years working on highly technical software development projects

• Proven track record of managing multiple agile teams simultaneously

• Strong technical background, with hands-on experience in software development, system architecture, or related technical roles, enabling deep understanding of product specifications.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, or Kanban,) and tools like Jira, and Confluence, for project tracking and reporting.

• Strong understanding of technical concepts such as APIs, microservices, database structures, and front-end/back-end development workflows.

• Exceptional facilitation and conflict-resolution skills to manage diverse teams and align stakeholders with differing priorities.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to foresee risks, analyze team performance metrics, and propose data-driven solutions.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical jargon for product marketing and conveying business needs to developers.

• Ability to thrive under pressure, managing aggressive timelines while maintaining team morale and product quality.
