Lead Global Trade & Customs Operations as Sr. Manager – Commercial at Utopia Pvt Ltd

Utopia Pvt Ltd is looking for a seasoned and proactive Sr. Manager – Import, Export & Custom Brokerage to oversee and manage all international logistics and customs operations. Based in Karachi, this pivotal leadership role is responsible for ensuring end-to-end compliance, customs clearance, and coordination with stakeholders for imports, exports, and trade-related processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end import/export operations, including customs clearance and all relevant documentation.

• Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, SROs, FBR, SBP, and relevant authorities.

• Coordinate with Customs for timely clearance of goods and avoid unnecessary delays.

• Handle dispute resolution, ensuring minimal demurrage or detention charges.

• Oversee duty/tax exemption processes (DTRE, Bond, Temporary Import, etc.) and manage drawback/rebate claims.

• Liaise with vendors, banks, shipping lines, and government departments to ensure seamless operations.

• Stay current on customs laws, policy changes, and international trade regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain or related field.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or export-oriented company.

• Proven expertise in Custom Brokerage, DTRE, and SROs.

• Strong team management and communication skills.

• Ability to coordinate with shipping lines and government bodies effectively.

• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and documentation skills.
