Sr. Accountant

Description:

Pep Boys is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is critical to the integrity of our financial operations, with a focus on managing fixed assets within SAP. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, accountability, and strong technical expertise in asset management and financial reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately create, record, and manage fixed assets in SAP.

• Oversee reporting and reconciliation of Assets Under Construction (AUC) and CAPEX accounts.

• Support month-end close activities and provide timely reporting to senior management.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Maintain compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable financial regulations.

• Take ownership of assigned tasks and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.

Qualification & Experience:

• ACCA Qualified or Certified Business Accountant (CBA) from ICAP.

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.

• Prior experience with U.S.-based companies (preferred).

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Hands-on experience with SAP, particularly asset management modules.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.
