Solar Sales Engineer

Description:

YellowLite is seeking a technically proficient and customer-focused Solar Sales Engineer to accelerate solar power adoption across residential and commercial markets in the U.S. This on-site role will be based in Karachi or Hyderabad and involves both sales and technical design responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be involved in identifying and qualifying new customer leads, delivering compelling solar proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing sales deals. In addition to sales, the role requires designing and sizing solar energy systems using industry-standard software tools such as Helioscope, Aurora, Solargraf, and SketchUp.

Post-sales, the candidate will coordinate with internal project teams to ensure seamless execution and provide ongoing support to clients, reinforcing YellowLite’s commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively source and engage potential customers through outreach, networking, and referrals.

• Present tailored solar solutions that meet client requirements and demonstrate clear value.

• Prepare accurate and detailed proposals based on site analysis and client needs.

• Negotiate contract terms to secure deals while maintaining profitability and client satisfaction.

• Utilize software tools to design and size solar PV systems accurately.

• Coordinate post-sale project delivery with internal teams and offer after-sales support.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.

• Strong technical understanding of solar energy systems and energy storage solutions.

• Proficiency with solar design and simulation software (Helioscope, Aurora, Solargraf, SketchUp).

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets.

Preferred (Bonus) Skills:

• Knowledge of solar permitting processes, incentive programs, and U.S. market dynamics.
