Role Description: Software Quality Engineer (Internee)

We are excited to announce an opening for a Software Quality Engineer (Internship) to join our team at DM&T in Islamabad. This is a full-time on-site / remote role ideal for recent graduates or individuals with 0 to 1 year of experience in software quality assurance and testing. You will work closely with our software development team to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test cases for various software applications.
• Identify, report, and track bugs, defects, and inconsistencies across different stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the software development team to define and implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure software quality assurance through systematic and thorough testing of product features and functionalities.
• Participate in team meetings to review test strategies, discuss potential improvements, and propose testing enhancements.
• Perform manual and automated testing using a variety of testing tools and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of Software Quality Assurance (QA) principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and related quality assurance processes.
• Ability to create and maintain effective test cases for new and existing applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of software testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
