Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our on-site team in Lahore.

You will own software quality end-to-end — from planning test strategies to driving defect resolution — and serve as a quality advocate across engineering and product teams.

🔷 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

▸ Design, plan, and execute comprehensive manual and functional test cases across the full SDLC.

▸ Identify, document, and track software defects with clear reproduction steps and severity assessments.

▸ Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure requirements are testable.

▸ Own and continuously improve QA processes, documentation standards, and test coverage metrics.

▸ Perform regression, integration, system, and acceptance testing to validate new features and releases.

▸ Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review sessions as the QA representative.

▸ Mentor junior QA engineers and foster a quality-first engineering culture.

▸ Evaluate and introduce new QA tools, methodologies, or automation frameworks.

▸ Produce clear quality reports and communicate testing progress and risks to stakeholders.

🔷 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

✅ 3+ years of hands-on Software Quality Assurance or software testing experience.

✅ Strong proficiency in manual testing, test case design, and defect lifecycle management.

✅ Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum frameworks.

✅ Experience with QA tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Postman, or similar platforms.

✅ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

✅ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
