Join our dynamic Testing and Quality Assurance team, where you will play a pivotal role in advancing our automation testing efforts for both web and desktop applications. Your strong proficiency in JavaScript, coupled with excellent communication skills, will be essential in upholding our commitment to top-tier quality and reliability.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated Java test scripts for web and desktop applications, utilising JavaScript and testing frameworks such as Selenium and Puppeteer.
- Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to understand project requirements and application functionality, thriving in a challenging environment while meeting tight deadlines.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in best practices for JavaScript and test automation, emphasising high-quality coding.
- Create and manage automated test suites, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Analyse test results, identify defects, and communicate effectively with development teams to facilitate issue resolution.
- Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes for automated testing.
- Actively participate in test planning, strategy development, and test case design.
- Conduct regression testing and ensure proper configuration of test environments for various scenarios.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in test automation, applying them to our processes.
- Contribute to enhancing the overall QA process, including strategy, documentation, and tools.
- Collaborate with highly skilled developers, including those with a Ph.D. in computer science, presenting your code on a weekly basis. While guidance will be provided, an independent approach to code and deliverables is expected.
Requirements
- It is a work from home position for candidates based in the USA.
- Proficient JavaScript QA Automation tester with experience with Playwright
- Extensive knowledge of JavaScript and best practices is a prerequisite.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing of web and desktop applications using JavaScript.
- Proficiency in JavaScript with a strong coding background.
- Expertise in web and desktop application testing, including GUI testing and browser automation.
- Strong knowledge of testing frameworks and tools.
- Experience with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and test management tools.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and lead by example.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
