Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer with 2 years of experience in software testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. In this role, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
You will play a key role in designing test strategies, executing test plans, identifying defects, and improving overall QA processes within the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and participate in test planning and estimation
- Design, develop, and maintain detailed test cases, scenarios, and scripts
- Perform thorough manual testing (functional, regression, integration, and UI testing)
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
- Support and contribute to test automation efforts where applicable
- Validate fixes and perform regression testing before releases
- Ensure product quality across web, mobile, or API platforms (as applicable)
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and QA reviews
- Continuously improve QA processes, standards, and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of professional experience in Software QA/testing
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes
- Hands-on experience in manual testing and defect management
- Experience with test case management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, MatterMost, Clickup, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of SQL and API testing
- Familiarity with automation tools is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and quality mindset
- Good communication and teamwork skills
