Phaedra Solutions is seeking a skilled JavaScript Developer to join our team on a contractual project basis. This role is ideal for individuals with at least 2–3 years of experience in JavaScript development who are looking for flexibility and the opportunity to work on dynamic, real-world projects. You’ll be involved in building scalable web applications using cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative team environment. Candidates proficient in AI tools like ChatGPT and Cursor to boost development speed and quality will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Web Application Development
- Convert wireframes and design mockups (PSD/Sketch) into functional web interfaces
- Develop scalable web architecture using modern JavaScript frameworks (Next.js, AngularJS, React, Vue.js)
- Build responsive, cross-browser-compatible websites and applications
- Ensure code quality with unit and integration testing
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Cursor) to improve productivity and streamline development
Backend Development & API Integration
- Develop RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js
- Integrate backend services with frontend components
- Work with databases like MongoDB or relational alternatives
Collaboration & Agile Workflow
- Work collaboratively in a multifunctional SCRUM team
- Manage version control using Git
- Adapt to new requirements, project updates, and changing priorities quickly
Performance & Optimization
- Optimize front-end performance and user experience
- Troubleshoot and debug cross-browser compatibility issues
- Write adaptable and reusable code for various platforms
Continuous Learning & Design Awareness
- Stay up to date with emerging JavaScript technologies and best practices
- Basic image editing and UI understanding using tools like Photoshop or Sketch is a plus
- Present design ideas through wireframes and prototypes when needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3 -5 years of professional experience as a Web Developer
- Proven experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, AngularJS, Vue.js, Next.js)
- Solid experience with Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB or relational databases
Skills
- Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Familiar with RESTful services, HTTP protocol, and asynchronous data (JSON)
- Strong English communication (written and verbal)
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines efficiently
- Proficiency in using AI tools like ChatGPT and Cursor to improve code quality, debugging, and overall workflow
- Portfolio demonstrating user flows, wireframes, and visual design is a plus
