Software Engineer

Description:

You build production software end to end under Mettle — owned products and client systems both. You’ll work with models every day and be accountable for everything they touch.

What you’ll own

Features from architecture to deploy. Review of AI-produced work before it ships. The soundness of what you sign — security, data handling, and maintainability included. Production behavior after launch, not just the merge.

What Must Be True About You

You’ve shipped software that real people used, and you can show it. You read code critically — including code you didn’t write and code no human wrote. You communicate in plain words, and you’d rather be correct than comfortable in a review.

Good signs

A repo, a running product, or a write-up of something you built — links beat CVs here. Experience with TypeScript, React, and a backend language like Java, Python, or Go helps; judgment helps more.
