Software Architect

Description:

AKSA-SDS is seeking an experienced and visionary Software Architect to join their dynamic remote team. The selected candidate will play a key role in leading and shaping the technical direction of enterprise-wide applications, setting standards, and driving innovation across projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide strategic direction for application design, establishing policies, standards, and processes across the enterprise.

• Design and implement complex full-stack software applications encompassing front-end, back-end, database management, and integration layers.

• Act as the lead software architect, setting technical standards and choosing optimal technologies and architectures for projects.

• Mentor and lead a team of software engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

• Collaborate with project managers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and software products to enhance company capabilities.

• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain software platforms for functionality and performance.

• Participate in presales activities, identifying client needs and recommending appropriate solutions.

• Identify, estimate, schedule, and manage technical risks for solution elements during both sales and implementation planning phases.

• Actively coach and foster learning within the engineering team and represent AKSA-SDS externally within relevant technical communities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering, with strong exposure to cloud-native architectures and full-stack development.

• Expertise in microservices architecture, design patterns, and building scalable, resilient systems.

• Proficient in DevOps practices, especially CI/CD and test automation.

• Experience with event-streaming platforms like Kafka is highly desirable.

• Strong backend development experience using Java, Spring, or Quarkus frameworks.

• Frontend development experience using Angular or React.

• Solid experience with database management and integration technologies.

• Exceptional communication skills, able to explain complex technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proven leadership ability with a track record of mentoring engineering teams and fostering innovation.
