Description:
This is a shared content role. You will be the writer for both our social media and marketing teams,
working directly with the Social Media Manager and the Marketing Manager. You turn their plans,
campaign briefs, and product updates into clear, engaging content for social channels and for marketing
campaigns, keeping one consistent brand voice across both. During the night shift you also keep
content moving, so the day teams start with drafts ready to review.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the Social Media team
• Write and edit posts, captions, carousels, and short-video scripts for LinkedIn, X, Facebook,
Instagram, and other platforms, as planned with the Social Media Manager.
• Follow the content calendar and prepare posts for scheduling and publishing.
• Draft replies to comments and messages, and flag anything sensitive to the day team.
• Track social trends and hashtags, and suggest content ideas for the next calendar cycle.
• Share post performance (reach, engagement, clicks) and apply what works.
Work with the Marketing team
• Write marketing content briefed by the Marketing Manager: blogs, case studies, whitepapers, product
explainers, press releases, and event announcements.
• Write email campaigns (newsletters, launch and drip sequences) and webinar content, including
promotional and follow-up material.
• Write ad copy for paid social and search, plus landing page, website, and product-page copy that
converts.
• Apply SEO keywords and best practices in collaboration with the SEO team.
• Align content with product launches, campaigns, and industry events.
• Track campaign results (leads, click-through rates, conversions), run A/B tests, and report to the
Marketing Manager.
Across both teams
• Keep one brand voice and message across social and marketing content.
• Repurpose core assets across channels (for example, a blog turned into a LinkedIn post, carousel, or
video script).
• Research IT trends and emerging technologies to produce timely, thought-leadership content.
• Work with designers and video editors on graphics and videos.
• Use AI tools to speed up drafting and research, and edit all output for accuracy and originality.
• Hand over a daily summary of work done and pending tasks to the Social Media and Marketing
teams.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in social media or marketing content writing, preferably in a tech or
software company.
• Excellent written English; ability to adapt tone between social and marketing formats.
• Good understanding of IT trends, software products, and emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of SEO, content marketing, and social media platforms.
• Experience with scheduling and analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite, LinkedIn
Analytics, Google Analytics) and email and content tools (Mailchimp, HubSpot, WordPress).
• Basic knowledge of Canva or similar design tools.
• Ability to take briefs from two teams, manage priorities, and meet deadlines independently.
• Portfolio with social posts plus long-form content, email copy, and ad or landing page copy.
• Willingness to work night shifts onsite.
