Site Civil Engineer

Description:

Union Steel Industries (USI) has an immediate opening for an experienced Site Engineer (Civil) responsible for supervising and planning the construction sequences and site activities in a timely manner for an ongoing project.

Job Responsibilities:

• Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site.
• Provide technical advice regarding design, construction and structural repairs to relevant personnel.
• Inspect project site daily to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications.
• Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to ensure timely procurement.
• Liaise with the Project Head to update on construction progress.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards.

Qualifications/ Key Skills

• BE/ BSc in Civil Engineering (PMP or equivalent certification will be an added advantage)
• Min of 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• Proven working experience managing a construction site.
• Excellent knowledge of design and visualisation software such as AutoCAD, Revit etc.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
