Description:

Team in Asia is hiring a Shopify Developer (backend and frontend). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team supporting an e-commerce D2C brand in scaling its online presence. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting while being based in an office in Pakistan (Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi or Karachi)

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Shopify-based websites, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

- Build custom Shopify themes and modify pre-existing templates.

- Integrate third-party applications and APIs to enhance functionality.

- Debug and resolve technical issues efficiently.

- Work closely with design and project management teams to ensure seamless implementation of UI/UX designs.

- Assist junior developers in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges.

- Stay updated with the latest Shopify and e-commerce trends to continuously improve solutions.

Requirements

- 3-5 years of experience in web development, with a strong focus on Shopify.

- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Shopify’s templating language).

- Experience with backend technologies such as PHP and MySQL.

- Understanding of version control systems (Git) and best practices in web performance, accessibility, and SEO.

- Prior experience working with Western clients, preferably in a remote setting.

- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

- Ability to work effectively within time zone differences (aligning partially with UK working hours).

- Experience in integrating third-party APIs and Shopify Admin API is a plus.

- Familiarity with frameworks such as Vue.js or React is an advantage.
