Description:
As a Shift Engineer, your work will focus on the following responsibilities:
- Successful planning, implementation and application of all activities related to shift operations as per Wärtsilä Standards and Procedures.
- Follow CM procedures in true sense and keep operations prepared at all times for Internal/Intra and Risk Engineering Audits.
- Maintain quality and timely reporting of WISELT data.
- Practice and apply MAXIMO in raising Work requests and fill all the required data in it properly.
- Must have complete understanding of PPA and related clauses
- Operate and Maintain the Plant during the shift according to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain the plant power production at the output designated by the management.
- Work in conjunction with Maintenance Team for ascertaining condition of equipment's, required maintenance activities and scheduled overhauls.
- Assist in Start-up, shut-down and normal operations of the power plant systems.
- Complete and maintain all logs and running records in a clear and concise manner according to guidelines.
- Take corrective action during system operational disturbance and/or bring such disturbances to the attention of Superior.
- Communicate effectively the condition of the plant equipment and performance to the relieving Shift Superintendent.
- Maintain the plant in clean & safe conditions at all times.
- Must have clear understanding of PPA and related clauses.
- Perform emergency procedures in order to protect personnel and equipment in case of any damage or failure.
- Utilize all tools, equipment and accessories in such a manner so as to maximize useful operating life.
- Assist in the safe and efficient operation of the plant by bringing violations of subordinates to the attention of the Superior.
- Maintain/Track Power Plant statistical performance, production, root cause analysis and make suggestions/recommendations to the Superior
- Responsible for implementation of plant safety & environment policy.
