We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven SEO Team Lead who is passionate about driving organic growth and is ready to take business rankings to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing SEO strategies that yield measurable results. Experience working within the UK market and the vaping industry is a strong plus. This role is designed for a growth partner as the remuneration is uncapped, meaning the higher the rankings, the higher the rewards, alongside a competitive fixed salary. Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Execution
- Lead and mentor a team of SEO specialists to achieve KPIs and growth targets.
- Develop and implement SEO strategies tailored to both UK and global markets, with a focus on long-term growth.
- Drive improvements in organic rankings, traffic, and conversions, demonstrating measurable success from your work.
- Identify new opportunities for growth and ensure strategies are adaptable to future changes in search engine algorithms.
Technical & On-Page SEO
- Conduct in-depth keyword research using tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Keyword Planner to identify high-value keywords.
- Optimize website architecture, meta tags, schema markup, and internal linking to enhance SEO performance.
- Regularly perform technical audits to identify and resolve crawl issues, indexation problems, and speed bottlenecks.
Off-Page & Outreach
- Build and manage scalable link-building campaigns, including guest posting, HARO, and Anewstip outreach.
- Establish and maintain relationships with high-authority bloggers, journalists, and publishers to secure backlinks.
- Monitor backlink profiles, disavow harmful links, and maintain healthy backlink profiles.
Trend Awareness & Innovation
- Stay ahead of SEO trends for 2025, including AI-generated SERP features, zero-click searches, and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).
- Leverage generative AI techniques for SEO, keeping content strategies aligned with new search engine features.
- Adapt SEO strategies in real-time to align with Google’s evolving algorithms and SERP features.
Global & Fair SEO Practices
- Implement international SEO strategies, ensuring correct use of hreflang tags, geo-targeted content, and culturally relevant metadata.
- Drive local SEO strategies, focusing on market-specific keyword research and backlink acquisition in target regions.
- Ensure compliance with ethical SEO standards and avoid any manipulative tactics.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Collaborate with content creators to produce SEO-friendly content that aligns with strategy and user intent.
- Use Google Analytics, Search Console, and other SEO tools to generate detailed performance reports and actionable insights.
- Communicate SEO results and growth metrics clearly to stakeholders on a regular basis.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on SEO experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of improving SEO rankings and driving organic traffic, particularly in the UK market.
- Experience in e-commerce SEO is essential; experience in the vaping industry is a plus.
- Expertise in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify).
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Data-driven, analytical mindset with a focus on growth and long-term success.
- Ability to think outside the box and innovate to stay ahead of competitors.
